Difficult to sleep at night is very annoying. In fact, a good night’s sleep is the key to being able to indulge in a fresh and fit body the next day.
Many people find it difficult to close their eyes when they are getting ready to sleep. But now, we don’t need to worry.
The experts found a way to fall asleep in less than 60 seconds. This method is called the “4-7-8” method.
The first way to apply this method is to find a comfortable sleeping position on the mattress.
After that, inhale through the nose for four seconds. Then, hold your breath for seven seconds, and exhale slowly through the mouth for eight seconds.
Repeat this method until we fall asleep.
This technique was popularized by Harvard-graduated medical doctor Andrew Weil. He adopted this method from the practice of Indian yoga meditation that has been done for centuries.
“That’s the single best method I’ve found to be able to go back to sleep when I wake up at night,” he said.
Yogis use this method to achieve a state of total relaxation, ward off stress and anxiety.
According to him, deliberately slowing down the breathing makes the heart rhythm also slows down which makes the body relax.
